Outdoor Skating Rink - Now Open

Outdoor Skating Rinks - Now Open

The Hudson rink and Oxford snowbank rink are now open for community league members!

Taking care of the rinks and being safe and considerate is everyone’s responsibility.  Everyone must follow COVID-19 guidelines provided by AHS and the Government of Alberta.  At the current time:

  • Maximum 10 people on the rink.
  • People on the ice and benches on both rinks must maintain social distancing and preferably wear masks.  No hockey games as social distancing cannot be maintained.
  • Please bring hand sanitizer.
  • Do not share equipment.
  • Violating a public health order can result in a $1000 fine or prosecution.
  • If someone is not following public health orders, report it by calling 1-833-415-9179.

Rink rules:

  • Helmets are recommended for all skaters.
  • Obey all posted signage.
  • Proof of community league membership must be presented upon request.
  • Skating in a manner that endangers or interferes with other skater’s safety or pleasure is strictly forbidden.
  • Please keep the rink and benches clean, disposing of any garbage in the bins outside the rink.
  • Alcohol and narcotics are not permitted on the premises.
  • Use of the rinks is at your own risk.  COCL assumes no responsibility for the actions of other individuals.

Please be considerate of others and limit your time to one hour.  This is a tough year in terms of use with COVID-19 and so few other activities out there but these rinks were built so our community league members can get outside in our neighborhood.  Let’s be safe and take care of each other.

If you can volunteer your time to help out with the rink, clean the snow or benches, send us an email herePurchase your community league membership here  We would love to hear from you.
